Update: Hello, everyone. I know I haven't been posting anything lately. I'd like apologize and inform you that I am not dead. I'm just really busy with life and school, that I've been neglecting dA. I can't promise I'll post more art, but what I will do in an attempt to make it up to you guys is complete this 30 Day Tumblr challenge I found while trolling the interwebs. I'll edit a few of the questions to fit the deviantArt community. I'll post a journal every day answering a question or prompt. This will allow you guys to learn a little more about me, and hopefully, some of you will follow suit and I can learn more about my watchers. Hopefully, this will be a fun experience and I encourage you guys to complete this with me.

Here we go! Day 1 of 30.

Day 01: Your current relationship. If single discuss how single life is.

Relationship
If you recall, I made a journal way back in December because I was tagged. One of my facts I put was that I did have a crush, but I would not tell anyone who this crush was. Well, it is my pleasure to inform you all that this crush turned out to have a crush on me back, and we have been dating since December 15th, 2012.

His name is Michael. Some of my friends on here know him as Caboose, as in Michael J. Caboose from Rooster Teeth's Red vs. Blue. I met him through our mutual friend OneCrypticKilla on September 8th, 2012. We started talking almost immediately. It started out as a weekly thing, but then it slowly evolved into daily conversations, and eventually, he asked me to go see The Hobbit with him on the 15th. He is one year and five days older than me, but because we are equally as mature and have great chemistry, the age difference does not matter. We live in the same town, but we attend different schools, so we can only see each other on weekends. We talk to each other every day and we often play Minecraft together, so we make it work.

When we first met, we played Slender together on Killa's laptop at our town's youth center. I controlled the flashlight and Mike controlled where we walked. Killa stole the mouse from me, clicked the flashlight on and off, and caused our good friend Slendy to spawn in front of us and kill us. I think I may be the only person I know who can say that they bonded with their future boyfriend/girlfriend over a horror game in which a faceless, suited mythical creature stalked us and traumatized us to no end.

I can't even begin to describe the feelings I get when I think about him or talk about him. I'm just left speechless most of the time. All I can do is just sit there and think about the butterflies I get when I'm with him. I still find it amazing that this guy I met on a chance one day would eventually become so important to one and make me so happy.

Single Life
As much as I'd love to write on and on about my relationship, I doubt any of you would enjoy reading that. So, I'll talk about what my life was like before I had a boyfriend.

I want to start out by saying that no one, especially in high school, needs a boyfriend or girlfriend to be happy. Relationships can be the best part of life, but they can also be the worst. However, no one needs to be in a relationship in high school to be happy. In fact, it might be better to wait until you leave high school to date. It'll have less drama and increase your chances of finding the perfect person for you.

I was prepared to go through high school without dating anyone. It didn't scare me. I knew that most guys in high school wanted one thing and one thing only, and I wasn't going to give them that. I was willing to wait until college to find the perfect person. I knew there were exceptions, of course. But, the exceptions in my life were either good friends, out of my league, or just weren't interested in dating me.

All I'm saying is that if you're in high school, don't worry yourself about finding a person or being forever alone or anything. You should focus on loving yourself instead of having people love you. I guarantee you that once you learn to love yourself and be comfortable in your own skin, you'll be happy, with or without a relationship.

If you're in high school, there's no way you can predict the future of your relationships or potential relationships. You can't know for certain that you'll be forever alone because chances are, you won't be. If you feel forever alone, it's probably because you are a good person, and no one worthy of your love and affections has come along. At the end of the day, all that matters is that you're a good person. You should be proud that you have your morals and if no one appreciates you for who you are, than don't worry yourself. It will save you a lot of heartbreak if you be yourself and learn to love yourself. How can you expect someone to love you if you don't love yourself? Don't worry about whether or not other people love you. If you don't love yourself, it doesn't matter how many people love you. Even if everyone on the planet loves you, none of that matters if you don't think highly of yourself.

I learned to love myself after several years of feeling insecure and worthless. Middle school was a very dark time for me, and in freshman year, I tried, and succeeded in learning to accept myself. Just when I started to love myself, I met my boyfriend, and now I've never been happier.

If you learn to love yourself, you will be a happier person all around. Please take my advice and try to learn to love yourself instead of focusing on high school romances that may or may not last. You are unique and special and you're stuck with yourself for the rest of your life. Might as well learn to accept yourself and stop punishing yourself for things you can't control.

I posted this on Facebook because I was so distraught about the Newtown, CT Shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School. Thought I'd share it with you guys.

I don't normally post my inner thoughts on the Internet, but I need to do this. I don't care if you read this. This is just for me.

I can't even find the words to express my anger and sadness at the world. What could possibly compel someone to kill a child, never mind 20? It's disgusting and horrible and shows the side of humanity that is full of pure evil. I am unbelievably frustrated that I can do nothing to help the families of the victims or humanity itself.

I used to believe that everyone, no matter how evil, had some good in them, deep down. Never before have I seen an event that is fueled by pure evil that I can recollect. I now realize that the shooter is, or was, before he cowardly took his own life, was a man of pure evil. I don't care if he is mentally sick. If people knew he was this sick and unstable, he should've been monitored more closely.

To Ryan Lanza, or Adam. Whatever the hell your name was: You hated your mother. That was evident. You, however, had nothing against her class of Kindergarteners. How could you do this? It's people like you that make me lose faith in humanity.

There have been tragic events like this in the history of humanity. Some have been in my lifetime, most haven't. This is the first mass murder that occurred in my lifetime that has made me want to throw up and cry. Maybe it's because most of the victims were children, or maybe it's because in happened in good ol' New England. Regardless, this event leaves me upset and angry at humanity. I can't help thinking about what would've happened if this happened at one of my town's elementary schools.
In one split second, all of my insignificant issues and problems disappeared.

It goes without saying that we need to take something from this. First, we need to sent our love to the Newtown community. After that, we need to realize that even if life seems tough and frustrating, we should just be lucky that we are
alive and our family is alive and our children are happy, healthy and alive. How can we concern ourselves with "first world problems" when children are dead? I really hope I don't see a duck-faced girl complaining about how her ex is dating her best friends' brother's girlfriend. Do you really care? Is that more important than the deaths of children?

Getting back on topic, we need to realize that these petty details in life are meaningless.

Life is such a precious thing. It is too short to be fighting with other humans whose lives are just as meaningful as our own. For God's sake, treat people like you want to be treated. Do you really want to be remembered as an asshole when you're gone? Grow up, all of you, and just be thankful that you're not cold and lifeless.

There are a couple kids at school who tease me from time to time for stupid reasons like my clothes or my glasses. It doesn't lower my self-esteem because I realize that I don't care what those tools think. I doubt that they'll ever learn anything from this tragedy because they have very thick, obnoxious skulls, but I can still hope, I guess.

It's fine to have problems. I'm not saying it's not. But, next time you feel mad at your parents or sibling or friends, remember this day and contemplate whether this will change your future. If it won't, let it go. It will benefit you and everyone else if you filter out the problems that don't matter.

I am frustrated at this tragedy, as everyone should be. However, I will try to channel my sadness into love for the families and try to change myself for the better. This is the only way we can learn and heal from this tragedy. I hope at least a few people around the country feel the same as me.
